BCSN’s annual publication, The State of the Third Sector was successfully launched on 28th December 2022 at Metta Resort, Paro during the Monitoring of Accountability for Better Public Service Delivery training workshop for CSOs conducted by Bhutan Transparency Initiative (BTI).
The State of the Third Sector is an advocacy material for the CSO fraternity, which was written by three prominent writers from the fraternity, Dr Rinzin Rinzin, Mr Needrup Zangpo and Chablop Passang Tshering assisted by the Programme Officer of BCSN Secretariat, Ms Tharpa Dema and designed by Mr Sonam Rinzin, Sr Communications Officer of RSPN. The report is inclusive of topics like civil society landscape, the birth of Bhutan Civil Society Network, milestones achieved, strengthening civil society coordination, building the capacity of CSOs, CSO’s contribution in nation building, challenges and resources.
The book launch was graced by the Chairperson, Dr Rinzin Rinzin, Vice Chairperson Mr Needrup Zangpo, EC member, Dasho Nima Gyeltshen, Governance Advisor of BTI, Aum Pema Lhamo, Assistant Auditor General of Royal Audit Authority, Ms Choden, Dy Chief Legal Officer of Bhutan National Legal Institute, Mr Kinzang Chedup, and Programme Officer of Department of Local Governance, Mr Sangay Dorji.
