The first TG coordination meeting for the Socio-economic Development and Livelihood TG was conducted today (05/05/2023).
This TG is the facilitators of socio-economic development by creating a conducive environment. They reach out to the marginalized members of the society to improve their livelihoods based on GNH Values.
The meeting was chaired by the TG Coordinator who is the TG representative at the Executive Committee of BCSN, and serves for a term of 2 years. The coordinator for this term is Mr Tshering Yonten, the ED of Construction Association of Bhutan – CAB
With the fund support from Project Nyamdrel/ Helvetas Bhutan , BCSN is organizing a first of its kind TG Coordination Meeting. The meeting aims to provide a platform for the TG members to come together to discuss common issues and strengthen collaboration and cooperation.
The 10 CSOs under this TG are:
1. Construction Association of Bhutan (Coordinator)
2. Association of Bhutanese Industries (Member)
3. Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO) (Member)
4. Bhutan Association of Women Entrepreneurs (Member)
5. Financial Institutions Association of Bhutan (Member)
6. Handicraft Association of Bhutan (Member)
7. Hotel and Restaurant Association of Bhutan (Member)
8. The Samdrup Jongkhar Initiative (Member)
9. SABAH Bhutan (Member)
10. Gyalyum Charitable Trust (Member)
